This full-service AmLaw 200 firm is looking for a Non-Exempt FT Paralegal to join their team in the Southlake/Dallas office. In this role, you will work under the supervision and direction of attorneys to perform various legal duties related to insurance and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in insurance and litigation, as well as a high school diploma or GED. A four-year college degree and a certificate in paralegal studies are preferred, but significant prior experience may be considered. The Paralegal will be responsible for organizing and maintaining case files, conducting factual investigations and interviews, and preparing answers to interrogatories and responses to requests for production of documents. They will also assist with e-filing, coordinating depositions, and drafting various pleadings and filings for both Federal and State level civil litigation. The Paralegal will also be responsible for maintaining attorney calendars and meeting firm deadlines, as well as interacting with government and court officials and clients. To be successful in this role, the Paralegal must have a high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office Software Suite and a working knowledge of a document management system. Experience using electronic resources and litigation support software is strongly preferred. Strong time management, organizational abilities, and proofreading skills are also required. The performance of the Paralegal will be measured by their ability to meet firm billing requirements, their knowledge of litigation support technology, and their ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Dependability and cooperation with attorneys, clients, and other support staff are also important factors in this role. This is a full-time position, and travel is not required. The Paralegal will be a Non-Exempt FT employee with a high school diploma or GED, and a four-year degree and certificate in paralegal studies are preferred.
