Job Description:

- The Senior Paralegal will be a part of the Operations and Procurement Legal team at AbbVie.
- The role will involve negotiating contracts, improving processes, and advising AbbVie businesses on legal and policy obligations.
- The primary focus of the role will be to support AbbVie's Allergan Aesthetics and Commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transactional agreements with minimal attorney supervision.
- Assist attorneys in creating contract templates, playbooks, and client trainings.
- Identify issues, propose solutions, and provide guidance directly to business clients.
- Manage and resolve complex legal issues on projects or negotiations involving multiple disciplines within the legal department and/or multiple functional areas or divisions within AbbVie.
- Possess sound knowledge of clients' business and the broader business impact.
- Represent the Legal Division internally and externally to clients, suppliers, and external counsel.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and engage in continuing legal education.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant legal education (Paralegal certificate).
- Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, including significant experience in negotiating contracts.
- Prior experience in a corporate legal environment.
- Familiarity with the Pharma/Health Care industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, analyze information, and meet deadlines.
- Eager to learn and take initiative.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of applicable data privacy regulations.

Additional Information:

- The compensation range for this role is $80500 - $153000, based on the job grade and location.
- Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
- This job is eligible for short-term incentive programs.
