Multifamily Paralegal

Summary:

The Multifamily Paralegal at a law firm in Richmond, VA or Washington, . will be responsible for conducting title and survey reviews for commercial real estate loans, with a focus on Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, preferably with a law firm or title company. The firm offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000, dependent on factors such as location, education, training, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct title and survey review and analysis for commercial real estate loans, specifically for Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of commercial real estate lending guidelines.
- Perform paralegal duties and responsibilities as directed by the group leader and other attorneys.
- Monitor and meet loan closing deadlines.
- Maintain the firm's official file utilizing the document management system.
- Track and record billable time, meeting minimum billable hour requirements.
- Maintain and prioritize work on a daily basis and communicate any issues.
- Daily tracking and recording of both billable and non-billable work.

Requirements:

- Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey.
- Experience with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac preferred.
- Strong organizational and writing skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to manage a large workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills.

Education and Experience:
