Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $73,000 to $101,000 annually.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary range, market data, applicant skills, relevant experience, degrees, or certifications.
This estimated range is specific to California and not applicable to other locations.
The salary range displayed is specifically for those applicants who will perform work in the state of California if selected for the role.
The final salary offer will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Experience Information:

Minimum of five years of general civil litigation experience.
Experience with commercial real estate litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Continuously review and manage case files from inception through mediation/arbitration/trial/settlement.
Prepare subpoenas compelling depositions and/or document productions.
Prepare initial discovery, ., interrogatories, request for production, request for admissions.
Prepare draft responses to discovery, including document productions and corresponding privilege logs.
Prepare attorneys for depositions.
Research, vet, and engage with subject matter experts.
E-file in both State and Federal Court systems.
Monitor deadlines for responses and timeliness.
Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, fact/medical chronologies, agreements, and/or trial and/or mediation binders for use by attorneys.
Investigate facts as requested by attorneys.
Trial preparation- prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness lists, trial subpoenas; engage in witness management; schedule trial testimony; prepare and manipulate trial presentations and other trial-related tasks as necessary.
Attend trial as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Meets the qualifications specified under the California Business & Professions Code §6450.
Minimum of five years of general civil litigation experience.
Experience with commercial real estate litigation is preferred.
Proficiency with software such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, LexisNexis, Pacer, Relativity, Sanction, TrialPad, iManage, and E-filing in both State and Federal Court systems.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience with trial preparation and participation, including organization of witness materials and preparation of physical and electronic exhibits.
Knowledge of complex litigation, preferably with experience in commercial real estate litigation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to problem-solve and gather and analyze information.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Maintains confidentiality and follows through on commitments.
