Patent Agent - Kansas City - Law Firm - Intellectual Property Services Overview: Armstrong Teasdale LLP, a leading law firm, is seeking experienced patent agents to join its Intellectual Property Services group in Kansas City. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in electrical engineering or biotechnology and prior experience in patent law. Job Description: As a Patent Agent at Armstrong Teasdale, you will work closely with inventors on newly created products and assist in the identification of patentable inventions. Your responsibilities will also include researching current patented technologies, drafting patent applications, and tracking the patent application process from initial filing to granted patent. Additionally, you will be expected to complete patentability searches, respond to office actions, and consistently meet billable hour requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with inventors to identify patentable inventions - Conduct research on current patented technologies to support patentable work - Draft patent applications with the guidance of the patent team - Track the patent application process from initial filing to granted patent - Complete patentability searches on a regular basis - Respond to office actions and correspond with the .
