Duties

• Negotiate loan documentation for SBA lending transactions
• Review title work, surveys, and other property-related documents
• Conduct UCC/lien searches to ensure security and legal compliance
• Examine leases, lease agreements, purchase agreements, and other transactional documents
• Perform due diligence on sale documentation and related items
• Manage a high-volume, multi-faceted workload independently and collaboratively
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to facilitate transaction completion

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in lending transactions or related financial services legal work
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in conducting detailed document reviews and maintaining thorough documentation

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain licensure in Minnesota

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• SBA lending experience is preferred but not required
