The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant work experience. A Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate are preferred. As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for investigating and researching facts, as well as preparing documents to support your assigned attorney. This includes managing cases, communicating with clients and attorneys, and providing support for team members. Responsibilities: - Accurate management of cases - Timely communication with clients and attorneys - Obtaining, reviewing, and organizing medical records - Insurance coverage investigation - Preparation of damage summaries - Logging daily mail - Drafting correspondence - Balancing verifications and assisting with subrogation lien resolution - Preparing check requests and maintaining check records - Assisting with settlement documentation and disbursements - Preparing disbursement summaries - Preparing files for litigation transfer when necessary - Consistent and regular communication with clients regarding case status - Providing support for team members in their absence - Meeting or exceeding goals - Attending weekly team meetings - Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED required - Two years of relevant work experience required - Bachelor's degree preferred - Paralegal certificate preferred - Highly proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel - Knowledge of legal practices and procedures - Familiarity with business practices - Understanding of standard clerical and office administration procedures - Excellent command of English grammar, usage, punctuation, and spelling - Proficiency in using computers and related software applications - Knowledge of research procedures and preparing legal documentation Working Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment with exposure to computer screens and low noise levels.
