Responsibilities

- Prepare and format legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Manage conflict checks and new client/matter requests.
- File legal documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and traditionally.
- Proofread all documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain client files in our document management system.
- Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments.
- Coordinate meetings and conference calls, including ordering meals and equipment.
- Enter and review time entries and prepare expense reimbursement requests.
- Review and process vendor invoices.
- Provide support to visitors, paralegals, and attorneys in the absence of their secretaries.
- Coordinate travel arrangements.
- Assist with the review and submission of pre-bills and client bills.

Requirements

- Ability to accurately format documents according to firm standards.
- Experience with state and federal court filing, preferably in labor and employment law and class action litigation.
- Ability to provide support to multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal secretary.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with document management and docketing/calendaring software.
- Knowledge of Aderant and InTapp is a plus.
