Associate - Chemical Engineering or Chemistry The candidate will consult with clients to ascertain technical details about inventions; review patent applications and complex terminology; analyze data to advise or recommend solutions; interview clients to ascertain technical details of the invention to be patented; analyze information on patent applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office; analyze claim rejections; recommend specific solutions for the preparation of the claim amendments; provide legal opinions regarding infringement and validity of patents. Should have Bachelor or Masters degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Law degree from an ABA accredited law school is required. Must have admission to at least one State bar. Strong academic credentials. Registered to practice before the USPTO. 1+ years of experience in prosecuting patent applications is needed. Industrial experience is a plus.
