Responsibilities:
- Provide support to attorneys and clients
- Uphold confidentiality of client and firm matters
- Complete work assigned by multiple attorneys accurately and efficiently
- Word processing, filing, e-filing, time entry, answering telephones, faxing, scheduling meetings and conference rooms, making travel arrangements, submitting expense reports, calendar maintenance, and handling daily mail
- Assist with overflow work and maintain a positive rapport with colleagues
- Conduct periodic review and closing of files
- Receive visitors and telephone calls in a professional manner
- Respond to general inquiries and provide information within firm policies and procedures
- Assist other attorneys and legal assistants during periods of heavy workload or absences
- Maintain calendar and schedule appointments, meetings, and court proceedings
- Make travel arrangements for attorneys and team members
- E-filing with courts and creation/revision of legal documents and presentations
- Review pre-bills and make necessary corrections in a timely manner
- Prioritize workload and adjust priorities as needed
- Work independently but also as part of a team
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other software and equipment efficiently
- Understand and meet court timelines and deadlines
- Comprehend instructions and make decisions based on reliable information
- Maintain effective relationships with colleagues and clients
- Be flexible and willing to work beyond normal business hours

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full-time in the office
- 2+ years of experience as a legal secretary preferred

Skills/Abilities:
- Strong typing, formatting, and proofreading skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PPT, Excel, etc.)
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to produce accurate work product and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with office technology and software
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions
- Ability to read and write and perform editing tasks
- Able to type at a speed of 70 wpm
- Strong knowledge of office technology and software
- Understanding of court timelines and deadlines
- Ability to multitask and make decisions based on reliable information
- Works well independently and with minimal supervision
