This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with 5+ years of experience and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate. Job Title: Litigation Paralegal Salary: $90-100k (depending on experience and performance) Experience: Minimum of 5 years Job Description: - Perform a variety of duties to assist attorneys in the Litigation Department - Develop and execute case management strategies, including discovery, expert witness preparation, and trial preparation - Maintain positive communication with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, co-counsel, experts, and service providers - Strictly observe client confidentiality - Keep accurate time records for client billing - Continually learn and utilize software and technology to improve litigation management and client service Requirements: - ABA-approved paralegal certificate or attorney declaration under the BPC 6450 - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal - Thorough knowledge of Federal and State court rules and procedures - Experience in running complex document review projects for civil and criminal litigation matters - Ability to work with attorneys to develop discovery plans and document review protocols - Extensive experience in preparing and serving subpoenas in both State and Federal court - Familiarity with software such as Relativity, RelOne, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Trial Director, Sanction, Lexis CaseNotebook, and Westlaw/Lexis - Strong proofreading skills - Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills - Effective communication abilities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong organizational skills - Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute case management strategies Benefits: - 401K and profit sharing - Generous benefits package - Commuter benefits - PerkSpot Discount Program - Company events - Hybrid work model currently offered for this position Diversity and Inclusivity: At Buchalter, we value diversity and inclusivity.
