Job Overview:

Location:

  • Omaha, Nebraska

Duties:

  • Communicate with opposing counsel and pro se parties to resolve disputes and negotiate amicable resolutions.
  • Draft and review legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Document account/file activity following firm and client policies and procedures.
  • Travel to various courts across the state to manage all aspects of case litigation.
  • Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations, providing legal opinions for review by Lead State Attorney.
  • Maintain responsive communication with clients to further develop and maintain relationships.
  • Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to stay current on changes in laws, court rules, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Qualified attorney with an active license in Nevada and no disciplinary history.
  • Knowledge of civil litigation processes and state and federal consumer protection laws is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to provide high-quality solutions.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and drive team performance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for interactions with both legal and non-legal parties.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active state bar license in Nevada.

Skills:

  • Strong communication proficiency.
  • Thoroughness in legal research and document preparation.
  • Business acumen for understanding legal and financial aspects of cases.
  • Collaboration skills for working effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ethical conduct in all aspects of practice.
