E-discovery and Litigation Support Manager at BDO USA

The E-discovery and Litigation Support Manager at BDO USA works in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and is responsible for managing electronic discovery and data and forensic projects, primarily related to litigation matters. This role also involves managing and performing other litigation support tasks as directed by OGC attorneys. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Paralegal Studies, and at least 10 years of experience in an electronic discovery and/or forensic litigation setting.

Responsibilities:

- Assist OGC attorneys with electronic discovery and data matters, including preservation, collection, review, and production
- Manage technology and e-discovery support for the firm's response to subpoenas, litigations, and investigations
- Review legal documentation related to electronic discovery and data projects
- Interface with BDO's IT group and outside counsel for electronic discovery and data projects
- Lead custodian interviews, collections, review, and special projects
- Draft and maintain internal documentation of electronic discovery policies and procedures
- Assist with drafting legal documentation related to electronic discovery and data projects
- Manage administrative duties for the Office of General Counsel
- Track incoming matters and prioritize and complete them in a timely manner
- Collaborate with various teams to define and maintain knowledge management systems
- Collaborate with IT on technology initiatives to support OGC operations
- Other duties as approved by designated OGC attorneys

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Paralegal Studies
- 10+ years of experience in electronic discovery and/or forensic litigation
- Project or process management experience preferred
- Advanced user qualifications/certifications from litigation support software and service providers preferred
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Compliance Center and other litigation support related software and services
- Experience with Relativity and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of information and document database management
- Familiarity with Lexis and Westlaw research platforms

Salary Information:

Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and location. The salary range for this position in the NYC/Long Island/Westchester area is $150,000 - $200,000.

manages edls workflow to meet expectations of limiting and tracking overtime assignments only as approved on urgent basis by ogc attorneys
ensures edls team members are trained on and applying all relevant software, policies, processes, procedures, and resources, and provides additional training as needed
acts as a mentor to other members of the edls team, providing leadership, guidance, opportunities for growth and challenge, and feedback as appropriate
