The law firm of DLA Piper is currently seeking an experienced Private Equity Finance Attorney to join our growing team in Miami, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled attorney to work on a variety of private equity sponsored financing transactions for our industry-shaping clients. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in private equity sponsored leveraged acquisition finance transactions, as well as a strong understanding of traditional leveraged financing and other related transactions. This position also has the potential for growth and advancement within our Chambers-rated and expanding practice.

Responsibilities:

- Work on a broad range of private equity sponsored financing transactions, including traditional leveraged financings, term loan and revolver facilities, cash flow and asset based loan facilities, mezzanine credit facilities and other related transactions.
- Manage closing processes, review and draft loan documents, including commitment letters, term sheets, loan agreements and collateral documents.
- Provide exceptional, innovative solutions and create outstanding, sustainable results for our clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues possessing complimentary expertise to find solutions for clients with diverse needs.
- Direct your own growth and pursue a wide range of practice opportunities.
- Enhance how our law firm combines practice-area expertise, modern industry insights and an expansive geographic footprint to help our clients shape their businesses and industries.

- Admitted to practice in the state where hired.
- Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.

General & Essential Job Expectations:

- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
- Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
- Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
- Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
- Foster positive work relationships.
- Comply with all firm policies and practices.
- Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
- Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements:

- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
- Work Environment: Hybrid with some in-office expectations or remote (as appropriate). Some travel required.

Pay Transparency:

In accordance with New York's Pay Transparency Law, the pay range for this position, if hired to work in New York, is $250,000 – $400,000 per year. The compensation offered to a candidate selected for employment will be dependent upon various factors, including the candidate’s geographic market, skills, educational and professional background, experience and overall qualifications.
