Senior Associate - Labor & Employment Attorney: Counseling Focus

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate - Labor & Employment Attorney with at least 5-6 years of experience to join their Los Angeles or Orange County office. This is a full-time, hybrid remote position with competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Salary Information:

- Expected annual base salary range of $300,000 to $400,000
- Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law

Experience Required:

- Minimum of 5-6 years experience in Labor & Employment Practice
- Experience with compliance and counseling
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
- Significant counseling and meaningful litigation experience
- Substantive background in wage and hour law
- Member of the California State Bar

Responsibilities:

- Provide advice and counseling to firm clients
- Draft policies and agreements
- Assess and draft employer handbooks and policies
- Work with employers to identify and strategize regarding employment law compliance
- Provide advice and counsel to California, national, and international employers on wage and hour law compliance, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, employment agreements, arbitration agreements, and other labor and employment issues
- Assist in structuring corporate transactions to maximize managerial flexibility and labor efficiency
- Negotiate collective bargaining agreements
- Represent clients in labor arbitrations throughout the country

Qualifications:

- Strong academic credentials
- Member of the California State Bar
- Experience with compliance and counseling
- Significant counseling and meaningful litigation experience
- Substantive background in wage and hour law
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills
