Job Title: Insurance Coverage Attorney

Experience: 10+ years

Department: Insurance Coverage

Location: Multiple offices across the US

Salary: $145,000-$165,000 (commensurate with experience) + hourly billable bonuses up to $50,000

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel and representation for complex insurance coverage cases, including commercial first-party insurance, reinsurance, third-party liability, professional liability, and bad faith coverage.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases and provide sound legal advice to clients.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop strategies for cases.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications:

- Admission to the appropriate state bar, with additional state bar admissions preferred.
- JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- 10+ years of experience for the Houston office, with less experience accepted for other offices.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in insurance coverage, specifically in complex cases.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
