Labor & Employment Counsel - Lincoln Electric

Lincoln Electric, a global leader in advanced welding solutions, is seeking an experienced employment lawyer to join their team in Cleveland, Ohio. As the primary legal advisor on . employment law, this individual will provide counsel on a broad range of issues, support global operations, and collaborate with cross-functional and international teams. This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide practical and effective counsel on . employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, discipline, terminations, and compliance matters
- Collaborate with global colleagues on employment matters outside the ., offering strategic counsel and oversight
- Develop and implement employment practices and policies that balance legal risk with business priorities
- Lead internal investigations in collaboration with the Compliance Department
- Manage employment litigation and pre-litigation disputes
- Monitor new legal developments and assess impacts on business practices and long-term goals
- Conduct training for managers and employees on employment-related topics
- Support legal department and cross-functional colleagues on complex legal matters, including M&A due diligence and integration activities

Basic Requirements:

- JD degree from an accredited law school and license to practice law in the .
- 7+ years of employment law experience
- Preferably from a large law firm or international company
- Proven track record of providing strategic employment counsel to business partners
- Expertise in . federal and state employment laws
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
