The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients and technologies. The Patent Agent will be responsible for preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The Patent Agent will also assist with opinions, counseling, and other services related to intellectual property.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file patent applications in the US and abroad
• Research and analyze patentability of inventions
• Conduct interviews with inventors
• Advise clients on patent prosecution matters
• Engage in patent drafting and prosecution

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of patent prosecution experience, a BS in computer science, and coursework at undergraduate or graduate level in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, machine learning, natural language processing, blockchain, and/or bioinformatics. An advanced degree with a focus in artificial intelligence is preferred. Prior technical experience at an AI company or startup is also helpful.
