Law Firm Seeks Labor & Employment Associate or Counsel in Chicago

The Law Firm of Locke Lord is looking for a qualified candidate to join their Labor & Employment Group as an Associate or Counsel in their Chicago office. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience and admission to the Illinois bar, or the ability to obtain admission through reciprocity with another state in 2024. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and a focus on employment law in their career thus far.

Responsibilities:

- Provide employment-related counseling and transactional drafting services
- Handle litigation matters, including single plaintiff and collective/class actions
- Address issues such as hiring and separation, wage and hour, EEO, non-compete and trade secrets, employment policies, agreements and handbook reviews, due diligence for corporate transactions, employee accommodation and leave issues, and investigations
- Utilize strong research and writing skills
- Have experience and responsibility in a broad range of employment issues, with a focus on employment litigation
- Option for full-time or reduced hours arrangement, with the title of Associate or Counsel based on experience level

Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law
- Admission to the bar in Illinois, or ability to obtain admission through reciprocity in 2024
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Experience with employment litigation
