" Law Firm Seeks Experienced Bankruptcy Legal Practice Assistant with Competitive Salary and Benefits Overview: - Foster Garvey PC, a leading law firm in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a Bankruptcy Legal Practice Assistant. - This full-time, non-exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $64,000-$85,000 annually, with potential for variation based on education, experience, and location. - The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, ABA Paralegal Certification, or equivalent experience, as well as 3-5 years of legal assistant and/or paralegal experience. - Foster Garvey offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with match and profit-sharing, commuter allowance, paid time off, parental leave, and more. Responsibilities: - Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. - Manage docketing calendar and deadlines. - Handle incoming/outgoing mail and communication with court staff, opposing counsel, and clients. - Assist with billing process and attorney time records. - Coordinate attorney calendars and travel arrangements. - Plan and coordinate large meetings, conferences, and events. - Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. - Maintain and update client records using online case management system. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Strong familiarity with bankruptcy rules, procedures, processes, and forms. - Experience with ECF filing in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. - Computer skills and knowledge of litigation management software (. Relativity, Excel) preferred. - Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and MS Office proficiency. - Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and report case progress to attorneys. - Bachelor's degree preferred. - ABA Paralegal Certification or equivalent experience. - 3-5 years of legal assistant and/or paralegal experience. Job Conditions: - May be required to work weekends/holidays and overtime as needed. - Flexibility in work schedule and occasional travel may be necessary. - Works in an office environment under artificial lighting and moderate noise.
