Law Firm Seeking Associate for Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Washington, DC
• Offering competitive salary range of $225,000-$435,000 depending on experience level
• 3-5 years of practical experience in privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity counseling required
• Must have excellent management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are a must
• Technical experience in cybersecurity counseling and CIPP certification preferred but not mandatory
• Admittance to practice in the jurisdiction of application is required

We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our growing Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group in one of our offices in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Washington, DC. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of US-focused privacy, security, and data compliance counseling for our clients. Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on privacy, security, and data-related compliance matters
• Manage compliance projects, including risk assessments and policy development
• Negotiate contracts and M&A deals
• Supervise junior lawyers and identify issues proactively
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity counseling
• Excellent management and organizational skills, with experience building teams
• Ability to prioritize and make practical risk-based decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Previous experience in a large law firm preferred (boutique specialists may be considered)
• Technical experience in cybersecurity counseling and CIPP certification a plus
• Must be admitted to practice in relevant jurisdiction

Salary Information:

• 2024/2023 Class Compensation Years: $225,000
• 2022 Class Compensation Years: $235,000
• 2021 Class Compensation Years: $260,000
• 2020 Class Compensation Years: $310,000
• 2019 Class Compensation Years: $365,000
• 2018 Class Compensation Years: $390,000
• 2017 Class Compensation Years: $420,000
• 2016 and more senior class compensation years: $435,000
