Job Title:
- Litigation/Securities Paralegal at a leading international law firm

Experience:
- Three years of related experience in general litigation and securities proceedings preferred
- Knowledge of applicable court systems, judicial processes, and investigatory/enforcement procedures of the US Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies
- Experience with complex litigation, investigations, and matters involving the investigative/enforcement process of US Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies
- Experience with eDiscovery and document management systems
- Ability to supervise junior team members and track case-related expenses
- BA/BS preferred, or meets the requirements of the California Business and Professions Code Section 6450-6456 for positions in California

About the Role:
- The Litigation/Securities Paralegal will work at the intersection of government, technology and business, and assist with complex litigation, investigations, and matters involving the investigative/enforcement process of US Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- They will also manage large discovery and eDiscovery initiatives, interact with clients, prepare for and assist at legal proceedings, and design/implement/maintain case management systems.
- The role requires working effectively and collaboratively with attorneys and case teams, incorporating matter management best practices, and producing high quality work product with an emphasis on attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.

Responsibilities:
- Matter Management/Business Acumen: Takes initiative and demonstrates knowledge and proficiency to clearly organize, plan, and prepare for projects; sets objectives, creates timelines, and strategically problem-solves and manages change.
- Case/Document Management Systems: Establishes and maintains case management systems for all matter-related materials, including document collections, productions, correspondence, and case calendars.
- Discovery/Fact Management: Partners with Litigation Support and case team attorneys to manage discovery/eDiscovery, including document collection and production activities, calendaring/scheduling, and preparing for/managing/tracking depositions/witness interviews.
- Motions Practice/Legal Filings: Proficiently and accurately cite-checks formal papers/legal memoranda submitted in a variety of forums, including federal/state/appellate courts and administrative/governmental agencies.
- Trials, Hearings, and Judicial Proceedings: Assists with legal proceedings in state and federal courts, alternative dispute resolution forums, and before government entities.
- Leadership/Staff Development: Provides guidance and supervision to junior team members and actively mentors them for development.
- Training and Development: Attends and participates in professional development programs and keeps up with current developments/industry trends in areas of expertise.
- Client Service: Demonstrates effective client service and builds productive client relationships.
- Timekeeping: Consistently meets the Firm’s billable hours expectations and adheres to best practices for time entry.

Required Skills:
- Knowledgeable of applicable court systems, judicial processes, and investigatory/enforcement procedures of the US Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agencies.
- Ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Litigation/Securities Paralegal.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and managing eDiscovery applications.
- Ability to supervise senior project assistants and/or project assistants.
- Ability to track and process case-related expenses.
- Ability to travel and work overtime.
