A law firm in Baltimore is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to handle business/real estate litigation and creditors’ rights matters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience appearing in court, independently handling small to midsize matters, and balancing a busy caseload. Strong attention to detail, excellent legal writing, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

 

Job Duties:

  • Independently handle small to midsize litigation matters.
  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Manage and prioritize a busy caseload effectively.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases.
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions and settlement negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Maryland Bar.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business/real estate litigation and creditors’ rights matters.
  • Hands-on experience appearing in court and handling litigation matters independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent legal writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively under pressure.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Maryland Bar.
