## Corporate Senior Paralegal - Steptoe LLP Steptoe LLP, an Am Law 100 law firm based in Washington, DC, is looking to hire a Corporate Senior Paralegal. In this role, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to lawyers in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group, executing complex tasks that require significant practice-area expertise. **Essential Functions:** - Provide paralegal support on all transactional and complex corporate matters - Prepare and coordinate routine corporate filings and conduct UCC and SEC research - Prepare initial draft documents for company formations, amendments, dissolutions, stock certificates and ledgers, and IRS filings - Perform due diligence and prepare contract summaries; file annual reports and corporate franchise taxes - Facilitate client communication, oversee document organization, and conduct legal research in corporate and business law - Manage the closing process, including navigating regulatory requirements and handling investor documentation **Nonessential Functions:** - Assist with pro bono and client development projects - Complete other duties as assigned **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree required - Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved school preferred - Five years of corporate governance/law firm transactional experience **Success Factors:** - Attention to detail - Effective communication - Organizational skills - Critical thinking & problem solving - Initiative & creativity - Project & task management **Work Environment:** - Non-smoking environment - Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule - Available to work beyond regular hours when necessary - Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and stressful situations - Hybrid work arrangements may be available The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000.
