## Paralegal Position at Wilson Elser
Wilson Elser is a full-service and leading defense litigation law firm that is committed to providing excellent service to their clients. The firm is seeking a Paralegal to work in their Livonia, Michigan office with the potential of a hybrid position after 30-45 days of employment.

### Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate are preferred
- 2+ years of paralegal experience in an insurance defense setting
- Experience with communicating with outside vendors, maintaining records, organizing and maintaining a calendar
- Summarizing transcripts, discovery and trial preparation
- Clear and effective communication skills both orally and written
- Strong organizational skills and computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and document management systems
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
- Familiarity with State and Federal court rules and filing procedures
- Ability to work and thrive in a team-setting while managing multiple assignments from 2-3 attorneys and 2 partners
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and successfully manage a variety of demands daily
- Openness to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks

### Responsibilities
The Paralegal will be responsible for:
- Obtaining authorizations for medical records as well as medical records themselves
- Drafting discovery demands and responses
- Preparing records, review and prepare exhibits, summarize medical records and deposition transcripts, and trial preparation
- Reviewing, analyzing and organizing document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants
- Reviewing files for outstanding discovery in preparation for court appearances, pleadings, depositions and trial preparation
- Determining, preparing and organizing material needed for expert witness review
- Assembling chronologies of key documents
- Managing documents and organizing case files
