Job Summary:

The Employee Relations Partner is a crucial role within Ryder's Human Resources department. This position is responsible for providing guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and monitoring trends to proactively address any potential issues. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as a thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Essential Functions:

- Overseeing daily administration of reported concerns within ServiceNow and Navex systems.
- Conducting fair and timely investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations.
- Providing guidance to managers on employee conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and termination.
- Partnering with operational management, HR, labor relations, and legal teams to develop solutions to complex employee relations issues.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant clauses/provisions within union Collective Bargaining Agreements (as applicable).
- Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and employment legislation within the supported region.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Traveling to company sites within the supported region as needed.

Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to conduct sensitive investigations and identify violations of regulations and company policies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to remain impartial during investigations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on follow-up.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational management, law, or equivalent major; or, additional four (4) years of experience.
- Five (5) years or more in HR compliance, HR generalist, or employee relations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% within the supported region.

Salary Information:

Salary for this position ranges from $60K to $70K and is determined based on internal equity, market data, and the applicant's skills and experience.
