A law firm in East Syracuse is seeking an Education Attorney to provide comprehensive legal counsel on the school district and BOCES operations, including research, writing, and client advocacy. The Education Attorney will offer legal guidance on various aspects of the school district and BOCES operations, including business and contract matters, employment and student issues, administrative hearings, and school construction projects. This role requires membership in the New York State Bar, a background in education law, strong writing and research skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative work approach.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on the school district and BOCES operations
• Conduct legal research and writing on education law matters
• Advise clients on business and contract issues
• Handle employment and student-related legal matters
• Represent clients in administrative, State, and Federal hearings
• Assist with school construction projects and related legal matters

Requirements:

• Membership in the New York State Bar

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
