Law Firm Seeking Senior Corporate Paralegal for Transactional Practice Support

Salary Information:
- Minimum 5 years of experience at an AMLAW 100/200 law firm or a Fortune 1000 corporate legal department
- Graduate degree such as a JD is a plus, but not required

- Reports to Paralegal Supervisor

Job Title:

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience at an AMLAW 100/200 law firm or a Fortune 1000 corporate legal department
- Familiarity with corporate financing transactions, M&A, private equity, and new venture formation
- Previous experience in general corporate transactional support
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office

Qualifications:
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a part of a team under tight deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or revise drafts of legal documents for attorney review
- Assist with SEC filings including Form D filings, Confidential treatment requests, and Registration Statements
- Compile, analyze and summarize information for attorney review
- Perform corporate and securities law research using online research services
- Coordinate transaction tasks/projects with attorneys, clients, advisors, and other parties
- Coordinate closings and attend to post-closing tasks/projects
- Communicate regularly with attorneys regarding status of tasks/projects and matter staffing
- Maintain timely attendance and work outside of normal business hours when needed
- Assist with other projects as assigned by Paralegal Supervisor or other Firm management

Summary:

This position can be based in the firm's New York, Washington DC, or Boston office. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience at an AMLAW 100/200 law firm or a Fortune 1000 corporate legal department, with extensive experience in general corporate transactional support. A four-year degree from an accredited college or university is required, and a graduate degree such as a JD is a plus. The Senior Corporate Paralegal will work closely with attorneys, staff, and clients, and must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are also essential for this role. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a part of a team under tight deadlines.
