Law Firm Seeks Judicial Foreclosure Paralegal/Legal Assistant

A Judicial Foreclosure Paralegal/Legal Assistant is now being sought to join the team. This position is not exempt from overtime laws.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in the representation of clients in judicial foreclosure proceedings
Process the default/summary judgment work load of the assigned states according to Law Firm procedures, internal goals and client/insurer/investor requirements
Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions and agreements
Electronically file pleadings within strict deadlines and manage/organize high volume incoming electronically filed pleadings
Prepare correspondence
Proof legal forms and documents for accuracy
Organize and track case files
Provide timely responses/updates to clients
Communicate with courts, title vendors and other third parties
Monitor and handle judgment related tasks for the judicial foreclosure caseload assigned
Ensure that billing is completed in a timely manner at all billable events and milestones
Handle other projects or tasks assigned

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 3 years’ experience working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal Judicial foreclosure experience highly preferred
Paralegal certificate a plus but not required. Prefer knowledge of multi-state process of service in a judicial environment.
Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques and legal terminology.
In depth knowledge of government regulations.
Relevant computer knowledge and experience.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning and organizing skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent research, analytical, critical thinking skills.
