Responsibilities: - Manage the intake and transfer of files for the law firm - Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of information - Collaborate with General Counsel's office, LPA, and local office Director of Administration - Utilize provided chart to organize and enter information into appropriate systems and databases - Communicate with Billing team regarding client billing rates and project billing - Receive, log, and track incoming files and docketing information - Work with IP Docketing team to manage workflow and deadlines - Prepare reports and statistics related to file intake - Create client matter number matrix to match files from old firm to new firm - Ensure proper transfer of client files in accordance with File Transfer Procedures - Assist with drafting client transfer letters and tracking responses - Collaborate with IT personnel during transfer process to ensure accurate transfer of information Requirements: - - Knowledge of intellectual property laws, regulations, and docketing procedures - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn new software - Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Self-motivated and able to maintain confidentiality - Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work with multiple teams and offices - Strong organizational skills and sound judgement - Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality Law Firm Seeking Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager H1: Join Our Team as a Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager H2: Manage File Intake and Transfer for a Leading Law Firm The Law Firm is currently seeking a skilled Lateral File Intake/Transfer Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the intake of all incoming files and information, as well as the transfer out of files when an attorney departs or a client requests their files be moved. Responsibilities include managing the entire process of file intakes and transfers, coordinating with multiple teams to ensure timely and accurate processing, and collaborating with the General Counsel's office, LPA, and local office Director of Administration. The successful candidate will have a , as well as knowledge of intellectual property laws, regulations, and docketing procedures. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office with the aptitude to quickly learn new software. The role may require up to 25% travel and excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
