In this role, you will provide critical support to our litigation team, including document formatting, e-filing, calendar management, document production, and other legal administrative duties. Responsibilities: - Draft, transcribe, proofread, and file court documents and related correspondence - E-file and paper file documents with local, state, federal, and appellate courts - Manage incoming and outgoing mail for attorneys - Maintain team and court calendars and ensure attorneys are aware of upcoming events and deadlines - Schedule meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements - Communicate professionally with clients, court officials, and others on behalf of attorneys - Schedule depositions and assist with trial preparation - Maintain files and assist with billing - Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports - Assist fellow team members as needed Requirements: - High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred - Minimum of three years of legal litigation secretarial experience - Experience working in a large law firm is a plus Practice Areas: - Appellate - Bad Faith and Coverage - Banking & Finance - Business/Commercial - Construction - Employee Benefits & ERISA - Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) - Labor & Employment - Legal Malpractice - Long Term Care & Assisted Living - Medical Malpractice - Municipal Liability - Premises Liability - Product Liability - Professional Negligence - Toxic Tort and Environmental - Transportation Why Hawkins Parnell & Young?
