Overview of the Associate (4 – 6 Years) Position at the Law Firm Antitrust Group

The Law Firm Antitrust Group is looking for an experienced associate (4 – 6 years) to join our team in Washington, . This associate will be responsible for conducting antitrust due diligence, assessing risks and handling the antitrust review process relating to mergers & acquisition transactions. They must also have experience in handling “second request” and other government antitrust investigations brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), . Department of Justice (DOJ), and/or state enforcers and able to defend acquisitions that are challenged in court.

## Responsibilities

* Conduct antitrust due diligence for mergers & acquisition transactions
* Assess risks and handle the antitrust review process
* Handle “second request” and other government antitrust investigations brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), . Department of Justice (DOJ), and/or state enforcers
* Defend acquisitions that are challenged in court
* Advise corporate clients

## Qualifications

* 4 - 6 years of experience
* Extensive experience in antitrust due diligence, assessing risks and handling the antitrust review process
* Experience in handling “second request” and other government antitrust investigations
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia
* Antitrust litigation experience is not required but is a plus
* Experience at the Federal Trade Commission and/or the Department of Justice-Antitrust Division is a plus
