Hill Wallack LLP is looking for a motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Princeton office. This position is ideal for someone who is familiar with civil litigation and employment law and has a minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: • Reviewing and filing documents • Understanding the role of electronically stored information (ESI) in the discovery process and managing discovery involving ESI • Identifying relevant information, witnesses, third party documents and information to subpoena • Preparing discovery, court papers and trial binders • Preparing subpoenas, letters, public records request, and authorizations • Working with preferred vendors for record retrieval, expert retention, depositions/court reporters, private investigators • Scheduling depositions, client meetings, and witness interviews • Preparing discovery requests, responses, and summaries • Summarizing various records (medical; employment; tax; educational; surveillance, etc.) • Summarizing depositions • Indexing discovery • Gather relevant documents for attorney’s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, trial etc. • WestlawNext research to retrieve cases, locate witnesses and obtain background information • Ability to check a brief for proper case citations and quotations • Social media research • Billing and entering time • Maintaining calendar for compliance and meeting deadlines • Opening new business matters • Preparing retainer agreements • Electronically filing trial and appellate court papers The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and writing skills, be familiar with Outlook, Word and e-discovery platforms, and have a BA degree.
