Heading: Associate (4 – 5 years) Finance

Law Firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 4-5 years of experience to join the Finance Practice Group.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies and/or financial institutions in debt financing transactions
- Providing legal guidance to clients in structuring and executing leverage finance transactions
- Drafting and reviewing finance documents, including credit and service agreements, high yield bond indentures, commitment letters and term sheets, security, and guarantee agreements and intercreditor and subordination agreements
- Supporting clients during and after transactions by providing legal advice to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
- Staying current on industry trends and legal developments

Required Skills and Abilities:

- 4-5 years of equivalent experience at a large law firm representing private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers and/or lenders with leverage finance transactions
- High degree of attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
- . degree from an accredited law school and must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the Illinois Bar
- Experienced working in a global team environment
