Paralegal
The candidate should have academic excellence and a keen interest in the legal field. Must be willing to commit to a two year term of employment. Primarily responsible for organizing, tracking and retrieving key litigation documents; preparation of legal documents, including, motions, briefs, exhibits, affidavits, pleadings and other court filings; using various online resources and other means to research and gather fact-based information in support of legal proceedings; preparing documents in response to discovery requests; electronic and in-court filing and retrieval of court documents; recording notes from client meetings and interviews; proofreading and cite/reference checking of documents for submission; preparation of case materials in advance of trial, and appearing at trial to assist lawyers when required. Should possess a four-year college degree from an accredited institution, superior communication skills, the ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and must be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as autonomously.

There needs to be a restructuring of management. Staff that performs well in their work performance should be compensated fairly. The environment needs a boost in office morale.

Pros : The law firm is one of the many respectable law firms in NY. Management is very kind. The staff is friendly.
Cons : The firm doesn't offer many opportunities to grow or advance in career. There is a lack of organization. Staff is sometimes not respected and is overlooked.
