Paralegal Position at a Progressive and Innovative National Defense Law Firm in Orlando, FL

- Looking for experienced paralegals to join our construction defect practice group in our Orlando office
- Must have at least 5-10 years of litigation experience in construction defect and trial experience
- Casual dress code, flexible work from home policy, and inclusive environment
- Collaborative and supportive attorneys across all offices
- Responsibilities include case management, pre-trial preparation, summarizing records, and providing assistance with discovery work
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Must live in the greater Orlando area and able to work in office
- Must possess a paralegal certificate and have excellent communication skills
- High level of computer competency required, including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs

Responsibilities:

- Processing and following up on subpoenas for records
- Communicating with experts and preparing materials for expert witness review
- Responding timely and effectively in a team atmosphere
- Multi-tasking, being proactive, and managing a variety of demands
- Trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and assembling witness materials
- Reviewing, analyzing, and organizing document productions
- Redacting sensitive information from documents
- Determining and organizing materials for expert witness review
- Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 . - 5:00 .
- Reliable with excellent attendance

- Manage cases and assist attorneys in all aspects of case management
- Prepare for trials by summarizing records, organizing exhibits, and assembling witness materials
- Process and follow up on subpoenas for records
- Communicate with experts and prepare materials for expert witness review
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Multi-task and manage a variety of demands independently
- Review and organize document productions from opposing parties and co-defendants
- Redact sensitive information from documents
- Determine and organize materials for expert witness review

Requirements:

- Must possess a paralegal certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- High level of computer competency, including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs
- Must live in the greater Orlando area and able to work in office
