The Role:
As an IP Docket Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the docket system, tracking deadlines, and mitigating any potential malpractice risks. This role also involves supervising and providing professional development to other team members within the docketing department. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the docketing database system is up-to-date and accurate, and serve as the point person with the docketing database system vendor. Other key responsibilities include handling and monitoring docket management for filing deadlines, generating attorney and client reports, and assisting with conducting Internet research and patent screening searches.

Essential Functions:
- Manage and monitor docket management for filing deadlines
- Research and oversee docketing procedures
- Supervise and provide professional development to team members
- Generate attorney and client reports as needed
- Work with IT to maintain and update the docketing database system
- Serve as point person with docketing database system vendor
- Enter and manage data into docketing database systems
- Review transferred new matters and enter due dates into the docketing system
- Prepare patent application filing requests and transmittals
- File foreign applications and review and approve patent invoices
- Process and docket email requests from attorneys and others
- May assist with conducting Internet research and patent screening searches

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Paralegal or Associate's degree preferred
- 2-4 years of related experience required
- 3-5 years of related experience preferred
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Leadership abilities and willingness to train new employees
- Continuous learning mindset and ability to adapt to changes
- Team player who can provide constructive feedback and solutions
- Alignment with the firm's values and commitment to diversity and inclusion

Physical Requirements:
The employee in this role will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
