Summary:

The law firm, Zwicker & Associates, ., is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team in Somerset, NJ. The firm specializes in protecting the legal interests of lending institutions and has expanded to 38 offices nationwide with over 900 employees. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and a willingness to learn. The pay rate for this position is per hour.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze and process data to ensure compliance with client and firm expectations
- Provide high-level legal and office support to the Office Manager and attorneys
- Use internal software to update and document account status
- Prepare documentation for attorney review and file pleadings with court systems
- Answer incoming calls and communicate effectively with team members and outside parties
- Comply with standard operating procedures and maintain quality and quantity of work
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and professionalism
- Knowledge of civil procedure, evidence rules, and e-filing process preferred
- Previous administrative experience in a law firm or financial institution preferred
- Debt collection and/or litigation experience a plus

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift at least five pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Mobility and ability to bend at the waist when needed
- Able to read and comprehend documents and communicate verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with computer and phone use
- Flexible work schedule of 40 hours per week
