A Lubbock-based law firm is seeking an entry-level attorney to support its growing personal injury and civil litigation practice. This is a strong opportunity for a newly licensed attorney or recent graduate with a passion for litigation and advocacy. The position offers a collaborative legal environment where mentorship and growth are emphasized, allowing junior attorneys to develop courtroom experience and client-facing skills in a hands-on setting.
Duties:
Perform in-depth legal research related to personal injury and tort litigation matters
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and case summaries
Attend and advocate for clients at hearings, court appearances, and depositions
Assist with trial preparation and participate in strategy discussions
Communicate with clients to gather facts and provide case updates
Maintain and manage case files and ensure accurate documentation of all proceedings
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and legal support staff on litigation planning
Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in Texas
Strong interest in personal injury and plaintiff-side litigation
Excellent oral advocacy and legal writing skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple matters under supervision
Client-focused mindset with a proactive and professional approach
Prior experience in civil litigation preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active member of the State Bar of Texas
