Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Dallas, TX, seeks a mid-level associate to enhance its Litigation group. This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in challenging legal work while fostering professional growth within a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a science background, essential for managing complex litigation cases effectively.

Duties:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide legal guidance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with experts to gather insights for case development.
  • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Contribute to the formulation of case strategies, leveraging both legal knowledge and scientific expertise.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Must have a science background, with experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is essential.
  • Admitted to practice in Texas.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.
  • Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or in Epidemiology are required.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar admission in Texas.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and writing capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication.
  • Solid research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
