A law firm seeks an experienced and dynamic litigation associate to join its esteemed team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 6 years of experience in civil litigation, including exposure to white-collar crime and related investigations. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base across industries such as technology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and more. The firm values candidates with strong academic backgrounds, exceptional legal skills, and a proven track record in handling complex litigation matters. Duties:

  • Handle a variety of complex litigation matters, including civil litigation and white-collar crime investigations.
  • Represent clients from multiple industries, including technology, pharma, and biopharma, in a range of high-stakes legal matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to develop case strategies and provide effective counsel.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and assist in all aspects of litigation.
  • Participate in depositions, witness interviews, and court hearings.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and expert witness preparation.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on legal issues, offering solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Contribute to firm initiatives, client development, and business expansion efforts.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in complex civil litigation, with a focus on white-collar investigations.
  • Strong litigation background with experience in managing legal cases from inception to trial.
  • Proven ability to handle high-profile, complex matters for clients in industries like technology, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A client-focused, proactive approach to legal practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where the candidate is applying, in good standing.
  • Additional certifications related to complex litigation or white-collar crime are a plus but not required.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation, research, and drafting skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Experience with discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and related litigation activities.
  • In-depth understanding of legal strategy, case management, and client service.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of legal technologies and tools used in litigation (., e-discovery platforms, and document management systems).
