Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a seasoned legal team and contribute to impactful immigration cases. The role provides hands-on legal experience with detained and non-detained clients, and a supportive environment geared toward professional development and long-term career growth.
Duties:
Conduct strategic consultations and explain immigration processes clearly to clients
Represent individuals in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals
Handle and oversee a caseload of removal defense and family-based immigration matters
Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, petitions, and legal briefs
Meet with and intake detained individuals at detention facilities
Collaborate with legal assistants and fellow attorneys on case strategy
Engage with community groups, prosecutors, and law enforcement to stay informed on immigration law developments
Train and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony before courts or immigration authorities
Review and revise immigration packets and applications for completeness and accuracy
Analyze case-specific legal issues and advise clients on available legal benefits
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing immigration law
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
Committed to team collaboration and professional integrity
Demonstrated experience in EOIR, USCIS, and family-based immigration matters
Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Must be licensed and in good standing with a . State Bar
Certifications:
Active bar admission in any . jurisdiction
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication
High emotional intelligence and cultural competency
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Confidence in courtroom settings
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
