Salary Information:

Experience Information:

- Expertise and relevant professional and/or instructional experience in general law education, compliance law, finance law, environmental law, healthcare law, or technology law (including AI and privacy)
- Previous experience providing instruction to adult learners in an academic or corporate setting

Position Summary:
- Recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty to teach one or more courses within the online Master of Legal Studies (.) program
- Serve as a valued member of the community
- Design and teach courses, facilitate course activities, provide students with timely feedback, and grade assignments and exams
- Professional learning opportunities and invited to attend on-campus events
Duties Include:
- Prepare syllabus and update course modules as needed with support from Instructional Designers
- Use the learning management system (Blackboard) and adhere to William & Mary online policies and procedures
- Review course content and activities before the term start date
- Meet designated course instruction guidelines
- Provide timely and specific feedback to students
- Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner and no later than the deadline set by the law school
- Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
- Offer weekly office hours for individual or group consultation
- Submit final grades according to William & Mary policy and program calendar
- Maintain communication with William & Mary faculty and staff
Required Qualifications:

- Expertise and relevant professional and/or instructional experience in specific areas of law
- Previous experience teaching adult learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree directly related to the discipline
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level
- Computer proficiency and experience using Blackboard or other online learning platforms
Conditions of Employment:
- Part-time position paid semi-monthly over the term of the course
- Not benefit-eligible
- Restricted to a specified term
