Job Overview:
A Houston-based law firm is actively seeking a motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney. The selected candidate will work closely with senior attorneys and a legal support team to handle immigration matters, including removal defense and family-based applications. Duties:

  • Conduct consultations and explain immigration procedures and legal strategies to clients

  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

  • Prepare and file immigration applications, including family-based petitions and humanitarian relief

  • Visit detention centers to perform intakes and case evaluations for detained individuals

  • Review, revise, and finalize immigration packets for submission

  • Collaborate with government and community stakeholders on evolving immigration policies

  • Interview clients and witnesses in preparation for testimony before courts and agencies

  • Develop and execute individualized legal strategies based on client goals and eligibility

  • Draft legal memoranda and briefs supporting immigration relief

  • Maintain and manage a consistent caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in any . jurisdiction

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration law preferred

  • Willingness to travel for client visits or court appearances

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Spanish-English bilingual abilities are strongly preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing in any . state or territory

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities

  • Proficiency with case management software is a plus

  • Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights and legal advocacy

  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal sensitivity
