An esteemed law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Life Sciences Partnering & Licensing practice. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of experience representing life sciences companies in the negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements. This role is ideal for a legal professional passionate about innovation, strategic transactions, and the intersection of law and the life sciences industry.

Location

Duties

  • Structure, negotiate, and draft a wide range of strategic commercial agreements, including:

    • Licensing agreements

    • Collaboration agreements

    • Commercial development and partnering contracts

  • Advise clients in the life sciences industry on complex transactional matters

  • Provide legal support for business development, IP strategy, and commercial operations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional legal and business teams to execute transactions

  • Maintain awareness of trends and developments in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of relevant legal experience

  • Strong background in life sciences transactional work, either in a law firm or in-house legal department

  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating strategic agreements

  • Excellent client service and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active and good standing member of at least one . state bar

  • Admission to practice law in the state of office location (or willingness to become admitted)

Skills

  • Deep understanding of intellectual property and its role in life sciences transactions

  • Strong drafting and legal analysis abilities

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other attorneys

  • Familiarity with regulatory and commercial issues relevant to biotech/pharma
