Join Our Premier Law Firm: McGlinchey Stafford - Seeking Experienced Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy Partner Level Attorney With Substantial and Self-Sufficient Book of Portable Business - Opportunities for Expansion and Growth on National Platform
Overview:
- Premier midsized business law firm with over 40 practice areas and national platform
- Seeking experienced Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy Partner Level Attorney for any of our 16 offices
- Work includes out-of-court negotiations, state and federal court litigation, and bankruptcy proceedings
- Must have substantial and self-sufficient book of portable business (ideally $600,000+)
- Demonstrated drive and potential for additional business generation
- Flexibility with rates and client service arrangements, outstanding cross-selling opportunities, and autonomy
Responsibilities:
- Aggressively represent clients across platform and industries in distressed financial situations
- Expand depth of experience by adding partner-level attorney with significant experience representing financial institutions in commercial bankruptcy and loan workouts/restructurings, as well as complex consumer bankruptcy litigation matters
- Assist clients from financial institutions to multi-million dollar corporations with various concerns
- Manage and advise on contractual disputes, lender liability issues, non-compete litigation, construction contracts, and more
- Help navigate mergers and acquisitions issues, shareholder rights and disputes, and derivative actions
- Assist with enforcement of loan and lease obligations and foreclosures for diverse commercial properties and assets
- Understand and navigate laws and procedures related to creditors' rights, mortgages, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) security interests
Qualifications:
- Substantial and self-sufficient book of portable business (ideally $600,000+)
- Demonstrated drive and potential for additional business generation
- Experience representing financial institutions in commercial bankruptcy and loan workouts/restructurings, as well as complex consumer bankruptcy litigation matters
- Understanding of laws and procedures related to creditors' rights, mortgages, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) security interests
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
