Job Overview:
A law firm located in Pottstown, PA, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The role focuses on supporting litigation and estate planning matters through comprehensive legal research, document drafting, and courtroom participation. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior attorneys and clients, contributing to the successful resolution of legal matters in a collaborative and dynamic setting.
Duties:
Provide strategic legal advice and support to clients throughout litigation processes
Assist in representing clients in court, including appearances before judges and juries
Conduct in-depth legal research and case investigations, including analysis of pleadings and statutes
Draft a variety of legal documents, such as motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts
Participate in discovery processes, including preparing and reviewing interrogatories, depositions, and document production
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex case strategies and legal planning
Manage legal correspondence and case-related documentation
Attend hearings, trials, client meetings, and other legal proceedings
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to client matters
Maintain accurate and organized client files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist with arbitration preparations and support ongoing client communications
Coordinate administrative tasks and contribute to internal legal reporting
Foster teamwork with legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys to streamline workflow
Engage in continuous legal learning and apply best practices in client service
Requirements:
1-3 years of relevant legal experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with both litigation and estate planning principles
Ability to work independently on moderate-complexity matters
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional integrity
The capacity to adapt to shifting legal priorities and collaborate in a team setting
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania
Good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar
