Job Title: **Members Only** Adjunct Professor of Law

Job Responsibilities:
Adjunct Professors of Law at **Members Only** are primarily responsible for teaching law courses and contributing to the school’s mission. Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting seminars at scheduled times, typically once a week for an hour during evenings from Monday to Thursday.
- Responding to student emails and phone calls in accordance with established standards and policies.
- Mentoring and advising students through academic phone or video conferences as needed.
- Timely grading of assignments, mid-term, and final examinations, providing individualized and actionable feedback calibrated to the bar exam.
- Assisting in curriculum maintenance and development, and participating in applied scholarship activities in law and related fields.
- Preparing high-quality final examinations and model answers for the school's essay pool.
- Participating in ongoing training and peer evaluations to enhance teaching quality.
- Regularly attending faculty meetings, which may be online or in-person, and reviewing meeting recordings or minutes when unable to attend.
- Complying with **Members Only** policies and procedures.
- Reporting a minimum of eight hours of professional development and/or Continuing Legal Education (CLE) annually via the online system.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must meet the following educational and experience requirements:

- Possess a Doctoral Degree (JD) in Law.
- Have a minimum of one to two years of relevant experience and/or training.
- Experience in areas such as Civil Procedure, Community Property, Family Law, Law Practice Management, Real Property, Trial Advocacy, and Wills & Trusts.
- Be in good standing (active or inactive) in all jurisdictions where they have applied or been admitted to practice law, with no significant bar discipline history (suspension or disbarment disqualifies).
- Maintain computers and technology that meet the school's minimum requirements, including reliable internet access.
- Have significant experience with standard office applications like Microsoft Word and Excel, and internet-specific applications like browsers, video conferencing, and shared editing tools like Google Suite.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, and communication skills, and an ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations.
- Show adaptability to change, rapid learning of new skills, software, and processes, and the ability to work independently with high professionalism.
- Ability to support the school's collegial culture and interact respectfully with others.
- Meet any additional criteria as established by **Members Only**.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic or practice experience in the field to be taught or equivalent.
- Prior teaching experience at the law school level or in a closely related field, preferably using technology.
- Experience or willingness to learn using Google Suite, especially Google Drive, Documents, and Calendar.
- California or Indiana attorneys are encouraged to apply, though faculty from all over the US are recruited.

Salary Information:
- The term length is 16 weeks, with terms starting in January, May, and August/September.
- Compensation is paid per facilitated term for a course, starting at $4,000 or higher contingent on assignment.
- Purdue Global School of Law aims for a long-term relationship with faculty, including adjunct faculty, with an average service time of seven years.
