The Law Firm, a full service creditor's rights law firm with a national bankruptcy practice, is currently seeking a qualified attorney to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced bankruptcy attorney to work with secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. We are looking for a team-oriented candidate with 2+ years of experience and a strong working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. However, we are open to training the right candidate with less experience.
As a Bankruptcy Attorney at our firm, you will have the opportunity to manage routine bankruptcy matters, draft and review pleadings and claims, attend hearings, and respond to general bankruptcy inquiries. You will also be responsible for reviewing filings on behalf of clients, monitoring electronic filings, and resolving routine bankruptcy matters. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be regularly communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.
To be considered for this position, you must have knowledge of bankruptcy laws and general Creditor Rights laws, as well as computer literacy and attention to detail. Time management and professionalism are also important skills for this role. A JD degree and license to practice law in North Carolina or Tennessee are required, as well as admission to Bankruptcy Courts in either state.
