Job Responsibilities:
The Academic Services Officer II/III at a reputed firm's Law School plays a crucial role in enhancing the enrollment, retention, and success of undergraduate and graduate programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing academic advising and support to students in the Law School's undergraduate and graduate programs through individual and group sessions.
- Collaborating with leadership to ensure students meet degree requirements, demonstrating a commitment to student success through mentoring and appreciative advising.
- Monitoring academic progress and advising students on academic policies, procedures, and program requirements.
- Representing and marketing the law programs to internal and external constituencies, including students, employers, and associations.
- Advising prospective students on admission and degree requirements and handling inquiries about . programs.
- Assisting with the application and admission process and organizing new student orientation.
- Communicating academic and nonacademic requirements, policies, and procedures effectively.
- Collecting student data and preparing reports, providing data support to the Director and leadership.
- Providing program support and leadership on various projects and initiatives.
- Working with minimal supervision and being available for evening and weekend hours as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Master’s degree or . is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in higher education in areas such as enrollment services, academic advising, curricular planning, student affairs, or directly related fields.
- Experience in mentoring and establishing rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated excellence in time management, organization, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and students.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to propose and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently.
